Description
Many Confederate soldiers started the war with frock coats. However, cloth shortages and wartime wear insured that, by 1863, waist-length shell jackets were generally worn in both the Eastern and Western Theater. Made with mid-weight wool, nine CSA button front with a short stand-up collar. Lined to the waist with an inside left breast pocket.
