Description
The original Confederate uniforms from all branches of the military closely followed the lines of the Union uniforms. This was until 1861, when the Confederate Council issued new regulations for the Confederate Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery. Gray was not chosen for camouflage, however, it did, at times, provide enough of a disguise along tree lines during battle to keep the line of Infantry hidden long enough to make them fight more effectively. The common shell is fully lined with one inside breast pocket and seven CSA buttons down the front.
